"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105)

In the midst of preparations for the new school year, and at the start of a new academic year, whether in schools or universities, we find ourselves, as parents, students, and teaching staff, facing numerous spiritual, economic, social, and general pressures and challenges. All of this makes us feel like we are walking in the unknown, wondering what the coming days will hold for us behind these desks!

The tumult of events may overwhelm us and cloud our path like a storm that lashes ships with its violent waves, or like winds that chase trees with their might. We humans, created in the image of God, have no hope except in Him and in Him. God Himself illuminates our lives with His wondrous light, dispelling the darkness and smoothing the mountains along our path and those before us.
My brothers and sisters, as the new school year begins, let us reflect                                                       on this passage from the Bible:                                                       "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."(Psalm 119:105)

We see that divine revelation confirms many things for us. First, we need to move forward and walk on the path. Second, to prevent our steps from faltering, we need a lamp to illuminate our path.

Is it possible to drive your car without lights, on an unclear, unfamiliar night road, without street lights? I think the majority would prefer to look for a way to light the street.. This is the case in our lives. It is impossible to overcome danger and achieve success in reaching our goal without a true lamp of light, because darkness will be the master of the situation..
The world may delude us with its illusory, fleeting light, but what distinguishes the Word of God is that it is a lamp for our path (the Holy Bible)
"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged                sword, piercing to the division asunder of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow.                  And a discerner of the thoughts and intentions of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

At the beginning of this year, we call upon you to place the light of the Bible at the forefront of our children’s education, teaching, and building them up to be a blessed generation and a good leaven.

Let us, as parents, first spend time studying the Bible as the primary food for instilling the values we have always dreamed of seeing our children live. As parents, educators, and mature, believing students, this is our role today. Above all, let us light the true lamp for our paths so that we may live, move, and exist in a light that never dims or is overshadowed by darkness—the Word of God, the Bible.

Prayer

Lord, I thank you that you are the light of the world, and those who follow you never walk in darkness. I thank you that your word is available to us, and your light is eternal and unchanging. Help me, Lord, to live according to your will and in your living light. Let your word be a lamp to my feet and a light to my path, and you are my first and last refuge.

I pray that this will be a successful, blessed, and fruitful school year for everyone.
